I am Mariagrazia and I cooked my first risotto when I was eight…I was absolutely starving.
Way too easy was asking my Mum a salami Panini would you compare the emotion of doing a course by yourself? Since I was a child I had the understanding that is better doing stuff by yourself if you really desire it. Consequently I did it! The sensation I felt that time never left me.
I love cooking. Maybe it is a bit reductive saying that. I strongly believe that is the feeling of having my hands in a material and creating by ingredients a new mixture that fascinate me so much.
Mixing, experimenting and honing tastes. Every time it looks like magic to me, like I am an alchemist.
Only differences are that instead of having stills you have got pots and instead of having a magic wand you have a perforated spoon. Pointless saying that the passion for cookery, to be prepared or to be tasted, began in tender age.
Always self-educating myself! Year after year the idea of inviting people for dinner started giving me joy. Conceiving menus, organizing the kitchen, setting up the “mise en place” for the perfect party always let me feeling well.
Every time I put a lot of effort and a bit of obsession for details, everything to let my guests dream for a moment.
This great passion is with me since years. It is a part of me, that is why I love cookery so much.
One day I tough that the easiest way for sharing and get other people excited to this was by opening a blog.
Plentiful ideas came between one espresso and the other.
Consequently “il salotto culinario” (Culinary living room) was born.
